About the Chapter
Since its charter in August of 1992, the James Madison Chapter, Tennessee Society Sons of the American Revolution, has actively pursued its mission of honoring our American patriot ancestors, serving our community, and educating and inspiring future generations about the founding principles of our Country. Specific chapter activities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Sponsoring and/or actively participating in Patriot Grave Marking Ceremonies
Youth educational programs, including Poster Awards
Presentation of awards to businesses and individuals who prominently display the U.S. Flag
Support for veteran’s programs
Participation in U.S. naturalization ceremonies
Chapter Meetings
Quarterly chapter meetings are held at VFW Post 6496, 285 Airways Blvd. in Jackson, Tennessee. The meeting schedule is as follows:
The first Sunday of March
The first Sunday of June
The second Sunday of September
The first Sunday of December
All meetings begin at 2:00pm unless otherwise announced. Visitors are always welcome to attend.
